Shanequa L. Jones is an Of Counsel Attorney for the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Firm, where she assists clients in probate and guardianship matters. She is also the owner and principal attorney of SLJ Law Firm, LLC. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Central State University and her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School.
Shanequa is deeply committed to serving others and advocating for those whose voices often go unheard. She previously worked with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, where she helped protect residents’ rights and ensure fair practices by utility companies.
She also served as a Public Defender in Erie County, providing dedicated legal representation to individuals who could not afford counsel.
Shanequa is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, Columbus Bar Association, and John Mercer Langston Bar Association.
Beyond her legal work, Shanequa is devoted to giving back to her community. She serves as a mentor and motivational speaker and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
In her free time, Shanequa enjoys reading, writing poetry, attending church, and spending time with friends and family.
